As we prepare for our national observance of Thanksgiving this week, Church United has much to celebrate this month, including a productive mission to Taiwan in which we were able to help lay the groundwork to stop the expansion of same-sex marriage and the homosexual agenda into its public schools. I’ll share more about our trip in the next week or so, but first I wanted to share with you an exciting news report about our work on California’s AB 2943. NBC New York is featuring Church United in a new 14-minute video on its “Left Field” program. The piece is a rare look at both sides of the “conversion therapy” debate and how Formers benefit from their choice of psychological treatment. Church United found out after the filming that the purpose of the documentary was to support the recently released movie Boy Erased staring Nicole Kidman and Russell Crowe. Ironically, the independent Pro-life film Gosnell has out performed Boy Erased at the box office as of Nov. 18.
Our voices are being heard, thanks in large part to your faithful support—and I am grateful. Your donations have helped to create strong, pastor networks that speak to the transforming power of Christ in our communities. As you can see from the video, our work here in California transcends the borders of the Golden State and even has an international impact. I am blessed by your dedicated support as we head into a new year. I look forward to your continued partnership as the Lord moves to bring Awakening to America. As California goes, so goes the nation.
Pastor Jim Domen’s family story was included on NBC’s Left Field documentary about AB 2943, a bill Evan Low would eventually withdraw that would have violated freedoms of religion and speech. Video released November 13, 2018. Click to watch.
